I’m getting a gift this week. It’s a Sony CDP-CE375 5 Disc CD Player — I’ll need new speakers, right?
My old CD player broke. It has a radio, and cassette player that still work. It’s an RCA … one of those little shelf centers. What do I do, in the line of speakers, and is it easy to hook up? I have the old speakers … but don’t know if they’ll work. The old one is an RCA. (Detachable speakers, with red and black wire.)
Yes, Daniel, I think it does. (That means the open ports, right?) My old neighbor hooked it up so I’d have surround sound on TV, with my OLD one, and HE had the nerve to move to CA! I’m lost, but will follow what you have said. Bless you!!!!!!! Wish I had your e-mail. But, I’ll post again, to find you, and will write down your name!

If your old stereo has an “aux input”, you can do it pretty easy. You might need a 3.5mm to RCA cable like this:

You can get these everywhere – Walmart, Radio Shack, Target etc.
The red/white rca ends go to the cd player and the headphone end goes to the aux input on the old stereo.
If you don’t have an aux input, there really is not easy way to connect the cd player to the old stereo.
